We asked for the formal withdrawal of the application for Hownsgill Incinerator...

The applicant contacted all local Councillors last Friday (14th May) offering to meet to discuss the issues that have been highlighted by the community through the planning consultation process.  Angela and Michelle took up this offer where we formally asked the applicant to withdraw the planning application.

The applicant declined to do this as they believe in the project and the technology that sits behind it. We then invited them to attend a public consultation to talk through the plans with members of the public and give residents the opportunity to ask questions. They welcome this opportunity. The date of the meeting is to be confirmed but will be soon and we will keep you posted.
