We’ve had an awesome week, thanks to all who helped!
✅ Met with the Traffic Management Officer from Durham Constabulary to discuss traffic calming measures in Templetown ✅ Met with DCC Outdoor Facilities Co-ordinator James and many local children who voted for their favourite choice of park plan for Allensford Country Park ✅ Met with Mark from the Fly Tipping Investigation Team to help us tackle the issue at Woody Close woods. Did you know that disposing of garden waste in such areas is classed as fly tipping? Watch this space as we’ll be sharing more information in a few days’ time ✅ Met with representatives from Delves Lane Methodist Church and found out more about their amazing Street Friends project ✅ Liaised between the Say No To Consett Incinerator and Hownsgill Energy Centre to get more questions answered ✅ Asked many questions about the planned Persimmon Homes development on behalf of local residents ✅ Discussed plans for Crookhall garages with DCC ✅ Attended a Conservative Women's event (CWO North East)and made some great plans to enhance our group ✅ Helped local residents with a whole host of issues including dog bins, fly tipping, antisocial behaviour, overhanging trees and refuse collection
