Weekly round-up w/b 17th January 2022

A great week which started and ended with our Birthdays – thanks everyone for all your good wishes. Between the birthday cakes, this week we:-

• Attended the full council meeting where we rejected recommendations to increase councillor allowances and also called for teachers to be given priority status for future covid vaccinations alongside other key workers – unfortunately our Labour colleagues voted against us on that – you can re-watch the meeting here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yCEAv4BAZo
• Attended the AAP Meeting to hear about lots of things including the Consett Destination Development plan
• Attended the Corporate Parenting panel which included updates about Durham Council Fostering Service
• Highlighted all the fantastic stuff you can do at Consett Afc – more than just football
• Shared the Co-opted member vacancy information for the Police and Crime Panel https://www.durham.gov.uk/policeandcrimepanel...
