Weekly round-up w/b 28th February 2022

Hope you all enjoyed world book day yesterday We loved seeing all the characters walking to school in their outfits. This week we:

• Attended the care leavers event at Sherburn Hill community Hub
• Had great fun at the Language Detectives event at Durham University
• Reminded everyone there’s still time to sign up for garden waste collections

• Attended the world prayer event at Consett Methodist Church – thank you for the warm welcome and invitation
• Attended the Highways Committee
• Attended the Economy and Enterprise Overview and Scrutiny Committee
• Had a briefing meeting about the expected appeal against the incinerator – full update after 7th March (we still live in vain hope that the applicant might see sense at the last minute and NOT submit their appeal)
• Great news to round off the week though about Templetown play park – keep an eye out on our page tomorrow for the update
