Wow! What a week! This week we…

Attended the virtual school sub group
Attended the full council meeting
Reminded binfluencers about what can go in in which bin
Helped residents with issues around ASB, council tax, grass cutting and flytipping
Shared info about the Certificate in Well-being training being offered free at Delves Lane Village hall
Attended the corporate parenting panel meeting
Were thrilled to at the level of attendance at the Cream Tea event at Crookhall Community Centre and enjoyed a scone or two ourselves! We’re really looking forward to the café opening. If you have time pop in between 9&12 tomorrow for the launch and sample some delicious treats made by Creative Kitchen
Met with Groundwork NE & Cumbria to hear what plans they have for our ward and what they’d like us to do moving forward

Lots of committee meetings this week at County Hall and lots of emails after half term. This week we…

Attended Highways Committee
Took part in the Appeals Committee
Attended the Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) meeting
Helped lots of residents with different issues
Celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
Attended Consett Festival at Consett AFC…we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!
Made progress on our plan to support local Ukrainian refugees (did you spot Angela on the telly? Not strictly councillor work but related to our local plans)
